How-to Guides

How to Propagate a Pothos Plant

Follow these simple steps to propagate a Pothos plant:

  1. Choose a healthy vine with several leaves.
  2. Identify a node (the small bump where roots grow).
  3. Use clean scissors to cut the vine just below the node.
  4. Remove the bottom leaves near the cutting.
  5. Place the cutting in a glass of water, ensuring the node is submerged.
  6. Position the glass in bright, indirect light.
  7. Change the water every 5-7 days to prevent stagnation.
  8. After 2-4 weeks, roots should appear.
  9. Once the roots are a few inches long, transfer the cutting into soil.
  10. Water the new plant and watch it grow.
